Day 35 of 90...Lander, Wy to Jeffrey City, Wy. Today was hot! 88 degrees in the wide open ranges of Wyoming. I started fairly early to try to beat the heat, but it didn’t take long to warm up. There was a decent amount of climbing in the first 35 miles, with a 5 miles climb thrown in for good measure. Some beautiful red cliffs, but mostly wide open ranges and straight roads that went on for miles. But once the hill was behind me and I turned straight east for Jeffrey City, the tail wind kicked in and the remaining miles went by fast. Rolled into town around 1:30 pm, and called it an early day since Rawlins would be another 60 + miles (saving that for tomorrow). Staying in a Community Church this evening which hosts cyclists. 59 miles. 2911 feet of climbing.
Amos 4:3 “For behold he who forms mountains and creates wind, and declares to man what are His thoughts. He who makes dawn into darkness and treads on the high places of the earth. The Lord God of hosts is his name.”
