The Ponderings of a Pedaling Pastor

Day 31 of 90...Crossed into Yellowstone and Wyoming today. Visited the Paint Pots and Geysers. While there I saw my first bison, very close up! Went on to Old Faithful. I was not disappointed! It really gushed (see video post). At this point of the ride I was 60 miles in and feeling pretty tired. However the next closest campground was Grant Village...which would require not one but two Continental Divide crossings. I didn’t have much choice. So I fueled up with a chili dog and a banana and set off for a ton of climbing. The chili dog and banana worked...I felt strong again and made it to my campsite. Yellowstone was like nothing else! Very wonderfully strange sights like the geysers and the bubbling mud and the sulfuric steam oozing from cracks in the ground. It was also crazy busy, with more languages from many nations in one place than I’ve ever encountered. 77 miles and 3774 feet climbing.
