Uncle David

This is a picture of my Uncle David with my daughter Erin and my niece Anna, taken when visiting him at the Cleveland Clinic a little over a year ago. Uncle David is battling leukemia. His initial diagnosis with the VA told him he had a month or two to live, but the earliest they could see him was in four months...a death sentence. Not willing to accept this, he chose to go to the Cleveland Clinic, where they treated him with a series of experimental drugs, which ended up putting his leukemia into remission. Recently it came back and he is once again fighting for his life. I share this with you because this 3 month journey isn’t just about me...it’s about riding for a cause. I know many of us have loved ones we’ve lost to one form of cancer or another. I’m riding for Uncle David, and for the amazing experimental drugs that have helped to prolong his life. I would love it if you would prayerfully consider making a donation to the Leukemia Research Foundation...even just a small one if possible. I have included a direct link to the site on this blog...all you do is go the the “about” section of this page, click on “see all,” the scroll down to the “company overview.” There you will find the link https://www.firstgiving.com/…/steven-ma…/StevenMahaffeysPage. If you click on that link it should take you through to the First Giving site where it walks you through the donation process. So, thank you not only for your support and prayers for me during this amazing journey, but your prayers and support for my Uncle David too.
